The past couple of weeks have been interesting, to say the least. The kids have both been in a burnout mood, older more than younger. The curriculum I picked out has not worked out as I had hoped. It was all on the computer, so instead of doing their work they would play games or watch Netflix.

I think that in today’s world, we are all busy and we all have hard things that we have to deal with. Not one of us has an easy life. The only people with nothing to worry about are the dead ones… just saying. Now, I know that my life may not be as hard as someone else’s, I get that. The way I look at it, things could always be better and things could always be worse.

In today’s fast-paced, instant gratification society, it is no surprise that kids constantly want, want, want. Before we moved to a home that did not have internet access, our kiddos never watched regular TV. Instead, they had Netflix, and at the time I didn’t realize just how awesome Netflix was. Sure, I understood that we could pick what we wanted to watch, and when we wanted to watch it, but something bigger was happening without my knowledge. Netflix was protecting my kids from this constant want, want, want or need, need, need mentality that is so ingrained in our society. How? Because the viewing was ad-free. The kiddos weren’t constantly being bombarded with the latest and greatest new toy every ten minutes. Think about that for a minute.

Copper pipe repair becomes necessary whenever a leak develops to prevent mold, damage to walls, ceilings or floors, or other items that water would ruin. How to repair the damaged pipe depends on several factors:
- How severe is the damage
- Whether soldering the pipe is possible due to location
- Cost
- Skill level of homeowner
If the hole is small like a pinhole size then repairing the copper pipe is as easy as cutting the pipe at the hole with a pipe cutter placing a coupler at the place where the pipe was cut and soldering it. However, if the damage is greater due to perhaps freezing then a larger section of the pipe will have to be cut out and replaced. Then the replacement pipe will have to be soldered in at the couplers where the pipes join.
Clamps are also an option for repairing small pinhole size leaks. They are available at hardware stores. A rubber gasket is wrapped around the pipe then a clamp is tightened that fits around the pipe and gasket sealing the leak. Not recommended hidden in walls or ceilings but would be fine in areas that could be accessed if needed to be.
